Privacy Policy
loop · Last updated: 17 October 2026
This policy explains how loop handles information when you use the loop app. loop helps you draft messages and manage conversation context. The app is operated by MTC Software (“we”, “us”).
Information we handle
- Account information: your name and email address. If you create an account with a password, the account service receives it over an encrypted connection and stores a password hash rather than the password itself. On Android, if you choose Google sign-in, the service verifies a Google sign-in token and uses your verified email, display name, and stable Google account identifier to create or recognize your loop account. loop does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, or your contacts.
- Conversation information: messages and prompts you submit, Loop’s replies, and conversation summaries used to provide context in later chats.
- Photos: photos you choose from your library or take with the camera. If you submit a photo, it is sent to the assistant service for analysis and, for a saved conversation, uploaded to private cloud storage and associated with that conversation.
- Onboarding preferences: your name and answers about conversation style. These are saved on your device to personalize the experience.
- Notification information: if you allow notifications, the app obtains a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token and sends it with a chat-close reminder request. The request can include a conversation identifier, time zone, and request identifier. The reminder service uses the saved conversation summary to prepare and schedule a reminder.
- Session information: a sign-in session token is held in memory. If you select “Remember me”, the app saves it in Android encrypted storage or the iOS Keychain. On the web version, session data uses browser storage.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, provide message suggestions, keep conversation history and summaries, display photos you have saved, personalize onboarding, and schedule reminders you request by leaving a chat. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. The app does not include an advertising or analytics feature.
Service providers
To operate these features, information is processed by service providers acting for the app:
- Microsoft Azure: hosts the account and chat services, PostgreSQL database, and private image storage. The configured database is hosted in Azure Germany West Central. Images are served to the app using temporary, read-only links.
- Google Gemini: receives the prompt, relevant conversation summary, and any photo you submit so it can generate a reply or reminder.
- Google Sign-In: verifies Android sign-in when you choose that option.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: routes scheduled push notifications to your device.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Information may be processed in countries where these providers or their infrastructure operate. We do not control their independent processing.
Storage and security
Account and saved conversation information is stored by the app’s cloud services. Photos are stored in a private Azure Blob Storage container. The app uses encrypted network connections for its service requests and limits access to account-owned conversations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
We keep account and conversation information while it is needed to provide the service. You can remove an individual conversation in the app; this also requests removal of its associated stored photos. Some copies may remain temporarily in backups or storage recovery systems. The app currently has no in-app account deletion function. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact maneotudor@gmail.com. We will verify the request and explain if any information must be retained by law.
Your choices and permissions
You choose whether to create an account, submit messages or photos, enable “Remember me”, and allow notifications. You can decline camera, photo-library, or notification permission; related features may then be unavailable. You can sign out to remove the active session from the app.
Children
loop is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review the request.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. For privacy questions or data requests, contact maneotudor@gmail.com.
Before publishing: replace the three bracketed developer/contact details above. The app currently does not provide account deletion in-app, which Google Play requires for apps that let users create accounts. Add an in-app deletion path and a working external deletion request page before submitting the app.
